''Motive'' is a Canadian police procedural drama television series that premiered on the CTV television network on February 3, 2013, immediately following Super Bowl XLVII. The series premiere had 1.23 million viewers, making ''Motive'' the No. 1 Canadian series premiere of the 2012–13 season.
